Keywords The risks of giving birth; twins; the second stage of labor
Description Most significant risk when giving birth to twins is hypoxia, placental abruption, prolapse of the umbilical cord and changing position of the fetus during labor, especially in II. fetus. Riskiest moment occurs after childbirth I. fetus. In that moment can lead to premature and relatively rapid separation of the placenta II. fetus, sudden change in position II. fetal ARM II. fetus, or to stop contractile activity after childbirth I. fetus and disproportionate lengthening delivery interval II. fetus, resulting in increasing the risk of hypoxia II. fetus. Those risks but not so big that we were forced to bear all multiple pregnancies by caesarean section. Under specific measures can ensure a safe delivery of spontaneous twin pregnancy. At the end of the first stage of labor and during II. labor is already decided that the woman in labor to give birth to twins spontaneously. Even during the II. of labor, however, can cause acute situation, which leads us to change the original plan. Most often it is hypoxia, or rare situations where there is a sudden change in position of the fetus.
