Description The article describes the results of long term treatment with ticagrelor plus aspirin in patients 1-3 years after, myocardial infarction in the PEGASUS trial. The dual antiplatelet (DAPT) treatment significantly decrease the primary composed endpoint of death, myocardial infarction and stroke on both doses of ticagrelor (2x60mg and 2x90mg) with slight increase in non fatal bleeding.
