| Description | The Department of Catalan Philology of Rovira i Virgili University organized, on 1998, which coincided with the 50th anniversary of Pompeu Fabra's death, the International Congress "La linguistica de Pompeu Fabra". It aimed to study Fabra as an author and as a person, his work, and his linguistic ideas, as well as the linguistic ideas of all the people who worked for Catalan language during that period. At the same time, it wanted to study how linguistic codification has taken place in the case of Catalan and other languages. The Congress was repeated every 5 years, getting to the 4th edition in 2013. |
