| Description | The article discusses the question of the date and place of the composition of the Gospel of Luke and Acts of the Apostles, a two volume work by the same author. The article is divided into two parts. First, attention is paid to the question of the time of the composition of the double work, Luke-Acts. The second part strives to determine a possible place of composition of Luke’s double work. It seems most likely that the Lucan double work of Luke-Acts was written between late 70s and early 90s A.D. The composition of Luke-Acts in Greece testifies an ancient Prologue to the Gospel from the end of the second century. This proposal which is supported by the geographical and personal data of the Acts of the Apostles, seems to be the most persuasive solution of the question of composition of Luke-Acts. |
