Description | The town Bzenec, located between the town Kyjov and the lower reaches of the river Morava, was one of the favored residences of the Moravian Margrave Prokop of Luxembourg. According to the last will of Margrave John Henry, the city was bequeathed to Margrave John Sobieslaus. Margrave Prokop obtained it after fights with his older brother Jost in 1381–1382. This article describes Margrave Prokop’s stays in this town, the circumstances of documents’ creation and people from Margrave Prokop’s sphere who were connected with the town Bzenec. |
