Description The article presents research project aiming to study effectivity of career guidance. Effectivity is measured by the improvement of career management skills that is going to be observed before and after career guidance provision. Research project will follow several variables: the structure and content of the career guidance process, career counsellor variables, personal and demographic characteristics of clients as well as their current work/life situation. There will be 400 respondents (15–65 years old with various working experiences) involved in the project. Recognition of possible variables influencing effectivity of career guidance is the main benefit of the project. The results can be used in further development of career coun- sellors’ competences, for increasing participation of clients in education, work and social life, for reflection of guidance provision and service improvement as well as for the cost-benefit analysis of guidance services.
