| Description | Research on water / wetland areas is still on the sidelines of archaeological research. The paper focuses on the extinct riverbed of the Thaya in the area of Great Moravian center Pohansko near Breclav. During the research a†double row of wooden poles and brick-stone construction was found. Samples of wooden poles were sent for dendrochronological analysis in order to get to know historical dating of the construction. The paper is a†reflection on the possible misguiding impacts resulting from using this dating method. |
