| Description | Construction materials are subjected not only mechanically but also are exposed to influences of an aggressive environment. Estimates say that 3-5% of gross national product in the industrialized countries must be paid to compensate for losses corrosion. The term corrosion understood sequential chemical or physico-chemical degradation of the material under the influence of the surrounding liquid or gaseous medium. But corrosion is subject not only to metals. Even materials such as polymers, building materials, glass, and textile materials also corrode. Study of corrosion processes is a typical interdisciplinary area and is very suitable as the basis for project teaching at the high school and universities. That is the main objective of the paper. |
