Description The paper examines the extent to which the institute of lay judges can be regarded as an implementation of the right to exercise public offices in the judiciary, as well as to what extent the unhindered exercise of this right is guaranteed. In addition to the general context regarding the concept of the right to exercise a public office, people’s participation in the exercise of state power will also be discussed in this context.
