Description This has always been a mystery. Who is the golden man with the frightening face in the middle of the square? The author of the poster deals with the phenomena of busking within the Czech Republic and the living statues are undoubtely part of this street culture. After facing some problems in the beginning, that is going to be revealed as well, the author got some answers to questions about their background; what prevented than they began with this way of livelihood, what basically lead them to stand up into the public space and perform. Another interesting topic is the costume itself, its changes, and if it allows anything that is not able to happen while not performing. The question of humility will be outlined as well – do they face any lack of dignity or do they even percieve it in any way? Are they able to leave this kind of profession? Do they even think that it is a proper job? What does it teach them? Do they even enjoy it? This poster aims to make a first exploration into the lives of these people.
