Description Methods of invasive treatment shifted from classical surgical treatment, the newer laparoscopic surgery to performances belonging to the group N.O.T E. S (natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery) - and its sub N.O.S. (Natural Orifice Surgery). In the case of GERD (Gastro - Esophageal Reflux Disease) we talk about method TIF (Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication). It is the latest advancements in the development of surgical procedures for the treatment of GERD. It builds on principles of laparoscopic surgery. It has numerous advantages: firstly reduces hiatal hernia, restores Hissův angle and creates new gastroesophageal flap.
