Description The authors inform on recent collections of the very rare aphyllophoroid fungus Irpicodon pendulus in southern Moravia. The species was re-collected after more than a century near the locality of „Tři Grácie“ in the Boří les Forest near Břeclav and in 2013 a new, yet unknown site was discovered in the same forest complex. In autumn 2015, the species was also discovered in the vicinity of Mohelno. These finds amend the known ecological amplitude of Irpicodon pendulus in the Czech Republic: it occurs almost throughout the year with a preference of cold and humid periods and also grows in wounds of still living old pine trees.
