Description The discussed paper is a case study analysing the procedures that supported an elaborated system of lobbying and intervention, a mechanism underpinning the actual implementation of related investment programmes. More concretely, the article presents the varied forms of securing assistance from state administration representatives on the one hand and different municipal government bodies on the other to pave the way for land expropriation procedures facilitating the construction of the concern’s premises. The particular aspect defined above was selected with the aim to effectively illustrate entrepreneurial activities of the company as pursued under turbulent economic and political conditions exemplified by the advent of authoritarian regimes in central Europe and their success in territorial disputes or claims. The conclusions obtained through the examination of the problem, which expose sufficiently the business-based pragmatism and rationalism, thus markedly gained in analytical value for the criticism of methods adopted by supranational companies.
