Description After more than 25 years after the fall of the Communist regime it is obvious that considerable religious shifts took place in Czech society. An anticipated decrease in the number of Christianity followers was accompanied by the growth of the individual spirituality: the people is seeking various ways how to express their spiritual needs. There are also some new religious currents which were practically unknown before in the Czech territory, like e.g. the Diamond Way Buddhism with the still growing number of adherents. The statistical data, accesible for the research purposes, do not allow to understand the forementioned changes with sufficient details. Therefore, in our study we turn to the mixed research: including the first phase of the quantitative analysis and the additional stage which consists in semi-structured interviews with priests, preachers and selected believers with long-term relation to their faith and with specific (personal) space imaginations. The explanation of the The Christians (Catholic and Adventist adherents) and the Buddhists provide the explanation of the forementioned shifts. The geographical space is the city of Brno, including the „individual religious space“ of the communication partners: the latter dependent on the access to the informations, employment, mobility and other specific features of each communication partner.
