Description Czech society is becoming more and more tolerant towards sexual minorities. Mostly among young people, this topic is no longer taboo. There are also some parts of market dedicated to this community. Restaurants and bars which are claimed to be gay/lesbian friendly or clubs just for gays and lesbians are rising usually in big cities. Queer Prague, the book about places related with sexuals minorities in Prague, was published in 2014. Moravia can’t stay behind and therefore we decided to map out gay and lesbian clubs in Brno. The aim of the research is to find where the clubs are located, what kind of places do they usually occupy, how are they situated in space, whether they try to attract attention or try to stay out of sight. The data was collected during field research and internet including social networks. The places were categorised by target group and by their way of self-presentation. Most of them are located south-west from the city center in the area of Old Brno. The clubs are however relatively unstable (they quickly emerge and also close down), opening hours tend to be late and they don’t draw much attention except for rainbow flag symbol.
