| Description | The aim of this thesis is to analyse a process of institutionalisation and realisation of the Spitzenkandidaten procedure in the EU. In the centre of observed process there are actors with ther own preferences and motivation. This process took place in a concrete and specific context we will try to take into account. Our ambition in the case of realisation of lead candidates procedure is to evaluate whether the actors were satisfied with the realisation of the procedure in the electoral campaign in 2014, and also in the process of nomination of the Commission’s President following the 2014 EP elections. The outcomes of the analysis provide a clear understanding of the process of institutionalisation. Conclusions based on empirical analysis also provide possible answers on a number of issues associated with the development and realisation of Spitzenkandidaten procedure in the EU. |
