Description The intention of this paper is to highlight the evelution of requirements for the right to be heard in an administrative proceedings in doctrine and legislation in the 20th century and early 21st century. The author aims to confirm the initial idea that the right to be heard in the Czech and Slovak republic has long tradition. Right to be heard (despite some peripeteia) became and will become all the more important. The paper will also focus on possible causes profound changes in the understanding of this concept, the author will propose its own considerations in terms of the future evolution of this institution when considering the caselaw of administrative courts.
