Description The book deals with the activities of Czech regions in international relations. Firstly, the book discuses international and Czech research on Paradiplomacy. Secondly, approach of various (sub)disciplines of the political science on the study of Paradiplomacy and various concepts and typologies are debated. There are identified the legislative and non-legislative context of the Czech pradiplomacy as well as phases of paradiplomacy development. The empirical part consists of comprehensive analysis of the state of play of the Czech paradiplomacy and three case studies – Czech regions’ activity in neighborhood relations, approach of the Czech regions towards the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and analysis of the South Moravian-Liechtenstein relations. The research focuses on four issues – establishment of paradiplomacy, its conduct, involved actors and the relations between the regional and state level of the governance. The research states that the Czech regions are fully-fledged and quite autonomous actors of Czech foreign relations
