Description One of the most important cultural groupings after the establishment of an independent Czechoslovak state became in the first decades of the 20th century. Association of Moravian Visual Artists (SVUM) based in Hodonín. The active association with the idea of Moravian sympathetic creators emerged from the nineties of the 19th century around the painter Joža Uprka, who called for the emancipation of Moravian artistic life as an alternative to European modernism. The "Association" gradually developed into an art institution, drawing on the traditions of Moravian Slovakia and forming the ideological platform of the late Moravian cultural revival. The text was created as a result of joint research of MU and Trnava University to improve the quality of teaching citizenship education at both universities.
