| Description | The monograph evaluates in detail the results of rescue archaeological excavations in Nos. 19 and 20 in the Horní náměstí in Přerov, which revealed the remains of wooden log houses with a rich material culture not only of ceramics, but also of metal, glass and other artifacts. It loosely follows the previous monograph Přerov Castle in the Early Middle Ages (9th-11th centuries). The work represents an important contribution to the knowledge of the late phase of the early medieval material culture in Moravia, as well as to the discussion of the structure of inhabitants of an important stronghold of Piast power in Moravia and the subsequent Přemyslid castle (10th/11th-12th centuries) in the Central European context. |
