| Description | The methodology clearly processes a rapid and standardized procedure for detecting the presence of Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus in the sample. The PRRSV is causative agent of wide- spread infectious disease affecting domestic pigs (Sus scrofa domestica). The methodology is suitable for monitoring and screening of the studied pathogen and is applicable for a wide range of applications in the veterinary and human fields. The standardized system may be part of complex multiplex pathogen detection, which allows for detection of up to several dozens of different pathogens in one reaction, isolated DNA of various origins, eg from animal tissues and faeces, or from meat products distributed by the market, can be used as template DNA intended for human consumption. |
