| Description | The aim of our research is to describe the narrative identity of the parents of private alternative school pupils, which is itself reflected in the choice of a private alternative educational stream. We conducted in-depth interviews with nine parents from a selected school (5 mothers, 3 fathers). The results of the research show a narratively constructed identity among the parents which is characterized by developments over time and is achieved through language, as well as the parents’ position in relation to the education system, the selected school, and their own parental self-conception. |
