| Description | This contribution focuses on the ways in which foreigners are presented in contemporary Czech prose. Within the presentation, various possible interpretations of the term "foreigner" or "foreign" in the Czech language will be introduced, as well as basic typologies of foreign characters in Czech literature. The presentation also encompasses the introduction of the chosen methodology and the analysis of specific literary texts depicting foreigners. This contribution offers a fresh perspective on how foreigners become significant characters in contemporary Czech literary works and how these works reflect current social and cultural issues related to the themes of migration and identity. |
