Citation
Description This publication analyses the relationship between private international law and intellectual property rights. These are two separate and intellectually demanding areas of law, whose legal regulation is influenced by their goals and principles, which in private international law manifest by the requirement to ensure legal certainty and predictability, and in intellectual property law by the need to protect individuals that participate in creative intellectual activity. The legal branches intersect in situations where an international element is present. In these circumstances, it is necessary to determine international jurisdiction.
