Description The book is divided into two complementary parts. The first part contents the results of the recently conducted research. The research was aimed at the description of the Roma community households in the city of Brno with respect to their living standard situation as well as at the mechanisms of the particular social exclusion areas. There have been studied the ways of the labour market exclusion resulting in the process of marginalization of Roma community in the formal labour market. Special attention was devoted to the effects of these processes on the living conditions, especially on the material (life in the poverty) and social (specific life strategies) standards. The second part of the book deals with the possibilities of the Roma community inclusion on the different governmental levels. It provides the information on policies, programmes and institutional measures developed on the central (national) level, as well as on the local governments activities (regional and municipal). Last subject of interest are the projects carried out recently by the NGOs addressing the objectives of social inclusion and integration of the excluded Roma communities.
