| Description | Chronic sinusitis with its 15% prevalence in population represents the most common disease in everyday practice in otolaryngology. The chronic sinusitis has an endogenous etiology; the most frequent cause of the disease is allergic and non allergic hypersensitivity of immune system reaction. The diagnostics covers wide range of nosologic units including diseases with serious prognosis, that in case of misdiagnose may lead to death of serious health damage. The therapy of chronic sinusitis must reflect the etiology of the disease the most frequent way of treatment is functional endoscopic sinus surgery in combination with subsequent conservative therapy with topic corticosteroids. |
