Description This contribution aims to answer the following questions: what is the current situation and trend of planting solitary, linear and group greenery by Czech farmers, which factors play the decisive role, for which reasons and under which conditions do the farmers decide to do so. The article thus takes into consideration one of the interests of the current Common Agriculture Policy in the landscape management. The text compares results of several surveys carried out in the past and at present both in the Czech Republic and abroad with the results of the author. It also concentrates on the obstacles Czech farmers have to face when planting greenery and on the role of farmer attitudes to landscape and nature.
