Description The goal of our work is to describe the process of accepting of responsibility by adolescents in the age of 15-19 and to explain and cathegorize differences in this process in different parts of the adolescent's life. We discovered that beside interindividual variability, in which adolescents feel a sense of responsibility, we can also measure different levels of responsibility in individual cathegories of areas. Whilst in the "who you're friends with" area, we can see an average value close to the extreme responsibility of the adolescent, the "where you live" area has its responsibility shifted towards the parents, but never really fully placing the average responsibility on the parents. Individual areas can also be divided into three groups. The first group is comprised by areas which are, by the peer group and more or less by parents, considered to be a private area of the adolescent; the second group is comprised by areas which are usually part of the parents' responsibility or conform to difficult-to-influence circumstances. The third group is comprised by areas in which self-defining aspects are most visible - those of the adolescent towards his parents as well as towards his past.
