| Description | Publication of the decisions Pl. US 24/09 (postponement of enforceability) and Pl. US 27/09 (unconstitutionality of Constitutional Act on Shortening the Term of Office of the Chamber of Deputies) by the Czech Constitutional Court caused in the Czech political scene a shock that was followed by many inconsistent and hysteric reactions and pronouncement issued by politicians. A short reflections of these reactions, their content and the form of their presentation in light of their potential effect on the independent status of the Constitutional Court in the Czech constitutional system are the subject of this short article. |
