Description The aim of the book is to acquaint readers with issues of psychology and pedagogy intellectually gifted children with specific learning disabilities, particularly dyslexia. The author explains how should these children who are referred to as "paradoxical pupils", to recognize how they usually compensate for his handicap, which is a common profile of abilities and disabilities in the psychological examination, which is usually their style of learning, memory, motivation, creativity, what their social and emotional problems and in particular what are the possibilities for further education so that they really developed their skills, not only compensated noticeable handicaps. The publication is based on information from abroad, but from the Czech research and close contact with concrete gifted pupils and students with dyslexia. To better illustrate the text is supplemented with interviews and quotes examples of artifacts and works of school children, teachers and their comments and case studies of selected parents of children.
