Description This paper presents the interdisciplinary nature of literature as a school subject and discusses means of mediating its interdisciplinary character. A number of suggestions on how to teach literature is based on a research into the effects of the macromodel-approach to the teacher education. In the next part, e-learning is shown as an accompanying element and an integral part of the schol subject literature. The last part of this paper deals with team-oriented learning, in which foreign teachers and students take active part.
