Description The ever increasing complexity of social and economic demands, such as universities and companies alike out calls for new models of thinking and learning. Both the limitations of natural resources and the competitiveness of global markets makes it clear that to ensure a sustainable economic base, especially the knowledge and specific skills of people will be crucial. Universities as places of knowledge creation and knowledge can make a significant contribution through their opening to bring forth innovative ideas in business and in society. At the same time universities received by the exchange with the practical impetus for their research. Knowledge transfer is to be understood in this sense as a two way process that benefits both sides equally. University Meets Industry the idea of knowledge transfer from multiple perspectives: framework and structures for successful collaborations are considered as well as individual and organizational learning processes and the promotion of economic zones by the specific exchange between science and practice.
