What state final exam scores are required for a red diploma?

A passing grade on the state final exam is required to receive a passing grade:

• Pass all components of the state examination in due time with a grade of "excellent", "very good" or "good",
• the overall result of the national examination must be 'excellent' or 'very good'.

In addition, you must meet the conditions relating to continuous classification, recognition of completed parts of the course of study and non-repetition of the course – see next sub-questions.
