BrnoMinsk 2021

Documentary and discussion series

Masaryk university wants to point out the fragile boundaries among different types of human rights violations and brutality of totalitarian regimes.

In its first part called 'BrnoMinsk 1941' we will be reminded of the first railway Jewish transport that left Brno on November 16, 1941 heading towards the concentration camp near Minsk. Hardly anyone came back. The second part, MinskBrno 2021, taking place on November 17 will draw attention to the bitter reality of today's Belarus where basic democratic values are threatened and people fighting for freedom are worried about their own existence.
