ISAB Members Visited MU Again After a Year

For the fourth time, members of the International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) visited Masaryk University to find out how the University has dealt with their recommendations from previous years. After two days of intensive meetings with the representatives of the University, they issued their strategic recommendations for the upcoming period.

On the first day of their November visit, the guests went on a tour of the University Campus Bohunice, visited the premises of the CEITEC MU research center and the Bioskop science education center, which brings the world of science to children and helps the development of talented students. After the tour, they met the new management of the University to discuss the vision and the strategic plan for the coming period. Part of the discussions was also devoted to the new methodology of M17 + research evaluation and the position of the University in the world rankings. The second day of the meeting belonged to the faculties and their progress.

In the final evaluation, ISAB members appreciated the openness of the University and its approach to the recommendations from previous years, which the University has acknowledged and gradually implements. One of them was the focus on doctoral studies and doctoral students who are important for the future of the University.

Crowdhelix Network

Masaryk University is a part of the Crowdhelix Network. This unique, innovative platform brings together researchers from more than 380 universities, research institutions and businesses. Unlike other networks, it offers a unique opportunity of direct communication according to the defined individual areas of interest of each researcher - thanks to the MU membership, each candidate can establish his / her own profile, search for opportunities and submit inquiries actions to specific challenges.

A network meeting organized by EPFL in Lausanne took place in October 2019 (including visit to CERN and Campus Biotech in Geneva), and many representatives of member organizations expressed their strong interest in collaboration with EU13 institutions.

MU Research Office is preparing a seminar for those who are interested in learning more about the Crowdhelix Network and practical demonstrations of the platform's capabilities.
