Changes in the society and economy of the 1990's influenced the revival of international (cross border) movements. In relation to this, because of its position, our country has been destined to mediate the contact between the west and the east. Simultaneously, the Czech Republic gradually became a country of immigration and emigration (a transit country), in a broad context as well as a part of the compact, so-called "buffer zone" in central Europe. The proposed goal of this project is to connect the concrete, local problems of job related migration and the work market with selected immigration theories(for example the classical push-pull concept, "cumulative causation" or double market). Among the goals of this project are: to identify the mechanisms which form the international (cross border) work market as a part of the integration of the Czech Republic into the European Union; to analyze the situation of the work market and with this the connected migration in previous candidate cou
