What will you learn?

Applied Sports Education of Security Bodies is a follow-up Master’s study with an initiative to prepare qualified, university-educated specialists in the field of personal security and special physical training and applied sports education at security bodies. The study mainly focuses on the professional self-defence.

Practical training

A mandatory part of the study program is a total of 150/6 ECTS divided into two units. The scope of practice includes sitting in on classes, practice preparation, practice management, and practice analysis by a guarantor of the professional practice. “Practice I” focuses on conducting a training process in institutions involved in the organization of courses: personal self-defence and self-defence of specific groups. “Practice II” is focused on preparing and conducting professional self-defence training.

Career opportunities

Graduates will be employed as university-educated specialists in the field of continuing education management and special physical training in security bodies. Moreover, they may find employment as instructors. The Labour Market will offer graduates a wide range of applications in public and state administration, security companies, security companies, judicial guard, correctional institutions, airports and railways protection, but also in the Police of the Czech Republic, municipal police, and other security bodies.

Follow-up studies

After fulfilling the conditions of admission, a graduate of a Master’s degree program may continue in any follow-up doctoral study. The Faculty of Sports Studies at MU offers to study Kinanthropology.
