The project focuses on current topics in media research. It includes several sub-research studies that systematically develop key research topics in the Department of Media Studies and Journalism. In general, the planned research focuses on the transformations of political communication and reception of news and information and online participation and interactions, as well as the transformations of the practices of content creators and their products themselves. The project is based on systematic analytical work with available data, but also includes data collection for media content analysis. The main goal is to support master and doctoral students in their research activities, therefore the research topics are linked to the dissertations of the members of the implementation team. The output of the project will be manuscripts for international peer-reviewed journals, presentations at conferences and a final workshop where team members will present the main research findings.
