Description Relations between the empire and the Přemyslids, like the filiation of the legends of St. Wenceslas, are something that has frequently occupied the attention of Czech medieval historians. This study explores the possible links between the empire and the Přemyslid realm from the viewpoint of the significance of the relics of “Bohemian” saints at important imperial festivities accompanying the consecration of churches and draws attention to their role in integrating Bohemia into the empire that was just then taking shape.
