| Description | The chapter deals with the usage of pedagogical translation in English language teaching. The research study consists of three parts. The first part introduces the concept of pedagogical translation. In the following part, the study briefly summarizes treatment of pedagogical translation in course of the development of the foreign language teaching methodology and it presents works which studied the question of mother tongue and pedagogical translation usage in the last three decades. In the third part we present a review of contemporary research which is concerned with the use of pedagogical translation in foreign language teaching. |
