Description The style of popular media writing on religion depends largely on the current affairs and their socio-cultural context. The death of Sun Myung Moon, the founder of international religious movement called Unification Church, is surely one of such occasions, where the way of media referring to religious (or cultic) theme can be effectively researched. In my paper I am going to discover the differences in American and Czech media dealing with Moon’s death, including into analysis the “online” comments and the opinions of Unificationists themselves.
