Description The water content in the body is the result of equal balance between intake and output of water. Receiving water includes water supplied in the form of drinks, food and metabolic water. Children organism is more susceptible to dehydration than adults and therefore demands the drinks are stricter than in adults. Recommendations for fluid intake should include as much liquid as well as the quality of selected beverages and food. During physical activity or at higher ambient temperatures is needed to increase the supply of water or suitable beverages. School canteens can help meet drinking regime.
