| Description | The paper deals with the electoral success of the radical right-wing populist political party True Finns that obtained almost one fifth of national vote in Finnish parliamentary elections in 2011 and became the second most successful party. On the basis of the theoretical concept the political opportunity structure in Finnish political space is analyzed with special attention paid to the institutional arrangements (the electoral system), identification of voters with political parties, party membership, the level of the convergence of the political space, and to the importance of immigration and European issue in the political discussion. |
