Description The lecture examined beginnings, motivation and development of the Muslim community on the territory of Czechoslovakia between 1934–1989. The stress was put on the special structural character of the respective group of adherents to the Islamic religion. Today's Czech republic is probably the only country in the continental Europe, where the immediate influence of Islamic culture has never been manifested, unlike many other European territories, including Slovakia. This fact is reflected in the character of domestic Muslim activities.
