| Description | Alphonse Mucha is reckoned to be one of the creators of the Art Nouveau jewel. The truth is that only several pieces made by the Paris company Fouquet have survived. Mucha's idea about an ideal jewel, however, can be reconstructed based on his posters and panneaux in which jewels inspired by the ancient world, Byzantium, Gothic and Renaissance are depicted. |
