| Description | Metadata editor is open-source client-server web application (developed in Ruby and Perl programming languages). The aim of the application is management, organization, editing and validation of metadata and full texts of digital publications prior they are sent to Digital Library of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University (FFdigi). Building a digital library of scientific publications requires high investment in ensuring the quality of the metadata describing digital objects and their clear organization allowing easy-of-use navigation to the end users of the digital library. Metadata Editor FFdigi allows effective and efficient prepare of FFdigi metadata. It also provides tools for transfer of the final digital objects to the public FFdigi repository (http://digilib.phil.muni.cz/). |
