| Description | Global unique identifier DOI (http://www.doi.org/) is a very useful tool for readers and writers of scientific literature that helps to uniquely identify the referenced publications and journals. The proper function of the DOI ecosystem and compliance with legal agreements with the DOI resolver operator it is necessary for the publisher to provide DOI with all the references in the published documents. Verification of existence of DOI for each of the references is necessary to carry out periodically even for historical publications as DOI can be assigned retrospectively. Thus, manual DOI look ups and verifications are out of economic and time constraints of any major publisher. This web application provides automated analysis of unstructured lists of references and DOI look up. Lists of references can be entered in the form of unstructured plain-text, PDF or MS Office Word documents, or a link to the home page of the publication in the digital library. |
