| Description | This workshop examines in practical ways how Playback Theatre (PT) and the Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) might be most effectively woven together. Augusto Boal described TO as a “rehearsal for life”. Jonathan Fox created in PT a theatre of compassion. Drawing upon Image & Forum Theatre disciplines of TO, participants will consider how the arc of a performance/workshop might combine both PT and TO practices to most effectively serve its audience/participants. A stimulating range of games, exercises and techniques will focus upon the actor’s body, at the core of both practices. |
