Description The suburbanisation and desurbanisation are phenomena widespread around big cities. Its significant impact on population distribution generates changes in public transit demand and supply. In this conference paper, we focus on the effect of population change on public transit within the Central Bohemian Region. The aim of the conference paper is to find out if there is any response of public transit supply heading to Prague reflecting the population changes. We test the hypothesis that there will be an increase of number of connections to Prague in municipalities with population increase, and vice versa. Our analysis revealed, that we can observe public transit supply increase in the municipalities with population increase, but rather stagnation in municipalities with population decrease.
