Description In current socio-political discussions the right to education is strikingly often confused with education prerequi-sites. It is an objective fact, that students differ from each other in education prerequisites. Psychology can introduce findings on performance determinants in mathematics into the discussion. It is necessary to differentiate the group of cognitive prerequisites for education from nonintellectual personality factors. Once again a long rejec-ted idea of a crucial influence of social environment on student’s school performance comes back. In my report I bring facts on educating students in mathematics, members of Roma community. I use literature sources for information on foreign experience with experiments with application of ideology based so called inclusive education. I illustrate the specifics of current discussion on education in mathematics in Czech pedago-gic environment on the grounds of evidence of insecure self esteem of students, parents and teachers.
